Marijuana Growers BEWARE THE DRONES

Criminals in Shropshire have reportedly started using unmanned drones fitted with heat-seeking cameras to steal from and extort illegal cannabis farms.

Apparently taking a leaf out of the book of the police themselves, violent robbers said that the growers make perfect targets because the victims will not report incidents to the authorities.

According to a local newspaper, there has been a huge surge in the number of hidden cannabis farms across Halesowen, Cradley Heath and Oldbury, towns on the outskirts of rural Shropshire some seven miles from central Birmingham.

They require hydroponic lights for the marijuana plants to grow – and the huge amounts of excess heat given off make them easily spottable for a would-be criminal in the know.

One such man, an unnamed 33-year-old, told the Halesowen News that after finding a property with a cannabis farm he and his crew either burgle or “tax” the victim.

“They are fair game,” he said. “It is not like I'm using my drone to see if people have nice televisions. I am just after drugs to steal and sell, if you break the law then you enter me and my drone's world.

“Half the time we don’t even need to use violence to get the crop. Growing cannabis has gone mainstream and the people growing it are not gangsters, especially in places like Halesowen, Cradley Heath and Oldbury.”

The man added that he had started out with the practice in the more built-up area of Handsworth where “you never know who you are messing with”, but came out to leafier suburbs because its “safer and easier to fly”.

MMJ Rick Simpson Oil vs COPD

COPD is the often used term for "Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease," a rather clumsy and vague description for most of us. It includes a few different lung issues, such as emphysema, bronchiectasis and chronic bronchitis. The scary part is that it's a mystery to our pharmaceutical-dependent medical system. And it gets progressively worse, often leading to death.

It's third in disease death rates, behind only heart disease and cancer. COPD creates constricted airways in one's lungs or renders small lung sacks inelastic and unable to fully accommodate breathing cycles; thus, there is obstruction.

COPD symptoms include some or all of the following: losing one's breath with minor activity, chronic coughing, increased sputum, chest tightness or pain with difficulty breathing, increased lung infections and fatigue. It has been observed to have four stages. Many of those lugging oxygen canisters around are in the last two stages.

The pharmaceuticals prescribed for treating symptoms often have side effects that cause more problems. Big Pharma is still fishing for cures, while COPD diagnoses rates continue rising in our toxic environment.

Medical marijuana to the rescue once again

The treatment situation is so bleak and harmful with mainstream medicine that those desperate to breathe normally and cough up less mucus have desperately turned to medical marijuana for at least some relief without negative side effects.

Smoking marijuana cigarettes is shunned for obvious reasons, but many claim that vaping, or using a vaporizer to inhale cannabis, is useful for COPD without exacerbating the lungs' inflammatory condition.

But better results have been achieved by ingesting cannabis, especially the potent, highly condensed oil extract that Rick Simpson pioneered in Canada and now in Eastern Europe. Many medical marijuana advocates, especially those in medical-cannabis-friendly states, have learned to make the oil and provide it to those in need.

Making Rick Simpson's Oil

Most of the cannabis treatment publicity has gone toward cancer, Crohn's disease, chronic epileptic seizures and glaucoma. Even Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis victims have experienced positive results from various cannabis products with THC applications.

Pharmaceutical-dependent mainstream medicine hasn't been able to cure any of these diseases or even alleviate symptoms without creating complications, some fatal.

More COPD patients have hopped on the cannabis cure bandwagon with positive results lately. These results include folks with late-stage COPD and severe emphysema.

Stoned at Work: Is Marijuana really a Workplace Hazard?

Using marijuana on the job may seem like something to avoid. But new findings reveal no link between positive urine tests and workplace accidents.

Drug screening is standard at many U.S. companies. More than 125 million urine tests were administered nationwide between 1988 and 2012. And while marijuana use is legal in more than 20 states, federal law still permits employers to fire anyone who tests positive for the drug.

But new research, published in the Journal of Addictive Diseases, brings into question the true hazards of having traces of marijuana in your urine.

“This study fell short of finding an association between marijuana use and involvement of workplace accidents,” wrote study author James Price, DO of St. Mary’s Occupational Medicine Clinic in Indiana.

The study compared the proportion of marijuana positives found in post-accident verses random samples. Nearly 4000 samples from employees across 5 different states were studied.

The results showed marijuana positives turn up no more often in urine samples taken after workplace accidents than they do during random employee screenings.

“It’s consistent with the traffic safety literature,” says Scott Macdonald, PhD, of the University of Victoria, who was not involved with the study.

The professor explains that urine tests are a poor measure of intoxication, despite their widespread use. Unlike blood samples, urine can contain metabolites of THC for days, sometimes weeks, after last use.

“If you smoked a joint the night before, are you at increased risk of a work accident? In my opinion, there’s very little evidence. It’s like having a drink or two the night before. But that’s what a urine test will pick up,” he says.
